ABSTRACT: In this paper, the works of seed collecting and investigation were carried out at the artificial sand-fixing vegetation region of Shapotou Desert Research and Experimental Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Habahe county in Xingjing Ugur Autonomous Region. The major studies were about the plant-influence model for distribution of soil seed bank of Calligonum rubicundum, the effect of water supply on seed germination of soil seed-bank in desert vegetation and the germination ecology of Calligonum species.
